Christmas and Holiday Lights Tour
Just minutes from your vacation rental, travel through Rutland, VT, on a cozy heated tour bus and view the brilliant Christmas displays that adorn the town. The Christmas and Holiday Lights Tour starts at 4:30, 6:30, and 8:30 each evening in December. Fees are $15.00 for adults and $10 for children for the 2-hour tour. Reservations are a must so make sure to call ahead!
Vermont Holiday Festival
The Vermont Holiday Festival is celebrating its 15th year! Each year Killington Resort is the host for this family friendly event. Check out the Festival of Trees and bring the kids to Santa’s workshop, guided sleigh rides that run every 15 minutes and great live music. A portion of the proceeds from the festival go to the Vermont Foodbank to help local families in need have a great holiday.
Vermont Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops Concert
Dec. 14-16, Multiple venues (Barre, Burlington, Rutland)
José Daniel Flores-Caraballo leads the Orchestra and Chorus in a festive program that ranges from an a cappella version of “Jingle Bells” to the blockbuster “Many Moods of Christmas.” We pay tribute to the late great Robert De Cormier with three of his iconic arrangements, and present the Vermont premiere of a sweet ballad, “Little Tree” by Steve Murray. Ski Bikes On Killington Mountain
Looking to get a little adventurous and throw those skis to the side? Keep your ski or snowboard boots on and hop on Ski Bike and see Killington Mtn. in a whole new way. Explore the Snowshed and Ramshead terrain from a whole new vantage point: behind the handlebars of a bike made to rip turns on snow. Whether you are an expert at snow sports, an avid cyclist, or none of the above, you are bound to have a good time!

Skiing Skiing Skiing
We can’t forget about the skiing! Killington, Vermont has some of the best skiing in the Northeast! Killington Mountain provides skiers and riders of all ability levels a choice of wide-open groomed cruisers, narrow classic New England runs, moguls, steeps and trees all serviced by 22 lifts including two express gondolas and a new high-speed six person bubble chair for 2018/19. The mountain also offers multiple terrain features for snowboarders and freeskiers in six terrain parks, including The Stash: an all-natural terrain park with more than 50 features, as well as a 500-foot long Superpipe with 18-foot walls. Don’t forget about Killington’s lil sister, Pico Mountain. Pico is a deceptively big mountain with a small mountain feel. The pace is a little slower but that’s great for families and new skiers alike. Pico has one of the best views from the summit in all northern New England with its 50 trails funnel to the same base lodge for that quick trip into the cozy lodge to enjoy some coco or a hot tottie.

People all over Killington will be celebrating the new year in different ways. You can stay in and watch the ball drop with family and friends or leave your vacation rental and hit the town.
