Every now and then, stop to take in the view of Vermont’s breathtaking mountain vistas.

Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing

Cross-Country Skiing has long been a favorite winter pastime in Killington and it’s no wonder Vermont is the premiere skiing destination on the East Coast.

Cross-country skiing falls under the winter sport category of Nordic Skiing, where the heel of the boot cannot be fixed to the ski. Other types of Nordic Skiing include ski jumping, biathlon, and telemark skiing.

Mtn. Meadows is located in the heart of the Green Mountains and directly in the center of Killington. They have been attracting skiers from all over the world for the past 40 years. Snowmaking, new trail design, new rental equipment and snowshoeing along with a warm, cozy base lodge are just a few reasons why they have been a long time favorite. Hemlock and hard wood forests, Kent Lake, skiing to a warming hut and endless amounts of wildlife make for a fabulous ski experience every day.
