Killington and the surrounding areas have something for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the attractions and activities to add to your Vermont Winter Vacation to make it one to remember.
Vermont Holiday Festival
The event will be a homecoming of the previous Vermont Holiday Festival format with an indoor Christmas Tree forest, family-friendly fun, and a Thursday business mixer. Although there will still be some COVID alterations, the same holiday spirit will ring through the Killington area!
Enjoy a FREE screening of a nostalgic holiday movie, Disney’s Prep and Landing, for toddlers and young children (plus their parents) on Friday and Saturday. Masks are required for everyone inside the screening room, parents must accompany children under 5, and seating is first come first serve, with multiple viewings daily. Children will be given a fun holiday goodie bag at the end!
This event is a fundraiser for the Killington Pico Area Association (KPAA) and its work for Killington Area businesses.
Don't forget to visit our Virtual Silent Auction between December 2 and December 11 to bid on Vermont and local products.

Skiing Skiing Skiing
We can’t forget about the skiing! Killington, Vermont has some of the best skiing in the Northeast! Killington Mountain provides skiers and riders of all ability levels a choice of wide-open groomed cruisers, narrow classic New England runs, moguls, steeps, and trees all serviced by 22 lifts including two express gondolas and a new high-speed six-person bubble chair for 2018/19. The mountain also offers multiple terrain features for snowboarders and freeskiers in six terrain parks, including The Stash: an all-natural terrain park with more than 50 features, as well as a 500-foot long Superpipe with 18-foot walls. Don’t forget about Killington’s little sister, Pico Mountain. Pico is a deceptively big mountain with a small mountain feel. The pace is a little slower but that’s great for families and new skiers alike. Pico has one of the best views from the summit in all northern New England with its 50 trails funnel to the same base lodge for that quick trip into the cozy lodge to enjoy some cocoa or a hot tottie.
New Years
People all over Killington will be celebrating the new year in different ways. You can stay in and watch the ball drop with family and friends or leave your vacation rental and hit the town. There’s something for everyone like the torchlight parade at Killington’s Snowshed. Looking for a more family-friendly way to bring in the New Year? You can skate into 2019 at The Foundry at Summit Pond, which features food and drink and, weather permitting, an ice skating pond. If you want to rock and party like it’s 1999, then there are a few choices that can help you do so. Bring in the New Year at these great places as they each know how to celebrate the old and bring in the new!
