Summer is a great time to visit Killington! The temperature stays around the 70s making it the perfect weather to explore the mountains. Embark on a hiking adventure on one of the many trails that are scattered along the Killington Vally. From relaxing walks to adventurous climbs, there is a trail for every age and skill level. An alternative to hiking trails is one of the many mountain biking trails. Killington is home to miles and miles of the best biking trails in the northeast!
If the weather is just a little too warm for exploring, you might be interested in one of the many water-based activities in Killington. Bring your fishing rod and head to some of the many fishing spots around Killington! Not the fishing type? Not to worry! Enjoy a day floating in the river with your family and friends. River Tubing is one of the most relaxing ways to view the natural beauty along the water.

Killington in the Fall
During the fall, the leaves change color and the fall foliage shows off for vacationers. The fall colors form a backdrop for continued hiking and mountain biking, as well as our fall festivals, which celebrate local brewing, mable syrup, and our apple harvest, among other activities. Stewart Maple's Tap to Table Autumn Market opens the fall season, while the Wobbly Barn hosts its annual Halloween party later on in October. If you want to go apple picking, Mendon Mountain Orchard is a must.
For skiiers coming to enjoy the slopes, the ski season usually opens in late fall, around mid- to late-November, depending on snowfall.
Killington in the Winter
The winter season in Vermont is a very popular time of year. Winter in Killington is beautiful with its abundance of fresh snow. For people who love to ski, Killington is perfect as it is home to the Killington Ski Resort, the largest ski resort on the East Coast! It features 200 slopes, 31 ski lifts, and around 90 miles of beautiful terrain to enjoy. During the winter, you can experience some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country.
